Application Fee

A non-refundable application fee of $100 CAD is required for each application submitted. Cheques or money orders should be made payable to York University. Applicants also have the option of paying by Visa or Mastercard.

Please Note: Applications will not be processed without the application fee. Returned Cheques or refused credit charges automatically halt processing of the application, which will resume only upon receipt of a certified cheque or money order payable to York University in the amount of $200.00 to cover the University’s penalty and handling charges.

Transcripts

Applicants are required to provide TWO sets of OFFICIAL transcripts, from every postsecondary institution attended, where a grade was received for course(s) completed. Such transcripts come directly from, and bear the seal of, the issuing institution. (If you have taken courses at York University, we will obtain transcripts on your behalf. Please provide your York student number with the application and ensure that you have no outstanding fees, as such status will block the release of your transcript.)

NOTE:
- photocopied or faxed transcripts are not acceptable
- if transcripts (or other supporting material) are in a foreign language, an official

translation is required. (Notarized translations are not acceptable. Only certified translations will be processed.)
- it is the applicant’s responsibility to ensure timely submission of transcripts

- transcripts issued to students are not acceptable

Recommendation Forms

You must submit TWO RECOMMENDATIONS from referees who can assess your potential to complete the LLM successfully.

Download the Recommendation Form.

  for the program.

Please submit the above material as complete as possible and note that all documentation submitted cannot be returned.
