Teaching Awards

Each year, one instructor in the Part-time LLM Program is recognized with an Osgoode Teaching Award. Nominations are accepted from students in all specializations.

The recipient of the 2010 Award for Teaching Excellence in the Part-time LLM was Professor Janet Walker, Osgoode Hall Law School, York University.

The recipients of the 2009 Award for Teaching Excellence in the Part-time LLM were The Honourable Justice Todd L. Archibald, Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Kenneth E. Jull, Baker & McKenzie LLP.

The recipient of the 2008 Award for Teaching Excellence in the Part-time LLM was Professor L. Michelle LeBaron.

The recipient of the 2007 Award for Teaching Excellence in the Part-time LLM was Professor Ian Greene, Dept. of Political Science, York University

The recipient of the 2006 Award for Teaching Excellence in the Part-time LLM was The Honourable Justice Edward Belobaba, Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

Awards for Outstanding Contribution to CLE 

Every year, hundreds of lawyers, judges, academics and other professionals give their valuable time and expertise to OPD’s CLE programs.  A number of those individuals give an extraordinary amount of time over a number of years, and this award is to recognize those individuals.

The recipient of the 2010 Award was The Honourable Justice Paul M. Perell, Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

The recipient of the 2009 Osgoode Professional Development CLE Leadership Award, in recognition of 30 years' contribution to the Bar and to Osgoode through creation and leadership of innovative continuing legal education was Professor Garry D. Watson, Q.C., Osgoode Hall Law School, York University.

The recipient of the 2008 Award was Mary Jane Dykeman, Dykeman        Dewhirst LLP.

The recipient of the 2007 Award was Jeff Galway, Blake, Cassels & Graydon.

The recipients of the 2006 Award were Roslyn J. Levine Q.C., Department of Justice Canada, and Scott Hutchison, Stockwoods LLP.
