Why can’t I see course offerings before applying?

Applying for status rather than applying for a course may seem unexpected, but it ensures you don’t miss out.

LLM students receive priority in course enrollment, and courses close to new registrations 15 days before they begin. Because it can take up to 15 business days to process an application – when SCE students apply for specific courses, we have to set a very early deadline and even still, it’s often the case that courses fill in the interim.

By applying for SCE (Single Course Enrolment) status first, you’ll only see courses that are actually available in real time.

You’ll also gain access to up to 12 credits over a full academic year, not just a single course in a single term, giving you more flexibility. You can even add future courses to your wish list, helping us plan additional sections if needed.

In short: once you’re admitted, you can view the full schedule and register for any open course without delay.
