From the developers of the LLM in Dispute Resolution, the new OsgoodePD Certificate in Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) will cut through the jargon, the myths and misconceptions, and give you a hands-on, interactive experience of new tools, technologies and approaches in dispute resolution.

Using the latest technologies and online platforms that are transforming the dispute resolution (and adjudicative landscape), leading experts will provide insight on core issues. Focusing on the practical, over five days, you will practice core skills and get individualized feedback

Registration includes 120-day unlimited, online access to the recorded program.

What You’ll Learn

Understand the implications of digital transformation in dispute resolution for legal advocates, mediators and adjudicators

Obtain strategies for leveraging technology to manage conflict more efficiently (and effectively)

Explore current ODR systems and applications (public and private), enabling you to develop a comprehensive understanding of general practices and practices of ODR

Practice dispute resolution techniques in sample technology platforms through simulations developed for the program

Identify and explain advantages and disadvantages of ODR from the user’s perspective (including online neutrals and legal advocates)

Learn how to shift traditional ADR techniques and handle conflict remotely and virtually (e.g., teleconferences, video conferencing, virtual group facilitation, text-based processes, e-mail negotiation, and e-arbitration/adjudication)

Adapt your offline communication skills to enhance user engagement and trust in online/remote processes and practice blended processes using mixed communication channels

Learn about the future of information technologies in conflict avoidance and management

Become aware of evolving challenges in ODR and strategies to overcome these
