In this comprehensive program, you will gain an in-depth and interactive learning experience designed and delivered by some of Canada’s leading estate planning practitioners.

Refresh your knowledge on basic concepts and take part in in-depth discussions of complex issues in Wills and Estates. Over one and a half days, examine the issues that arise in practice and develop the knowledge and skills needed to advise clients with confidence.

Complete the program on its own, or as part of The Osgoode Intensive Program in Wills and Estates. As the first offering in the Osgoode Intensive Program in Wills and Estates, this program establishes the foundational knowledge that will support your learning throughout the subsequent modules.

  • Execute wills in challenging circumstances
  • Apply strategies to reduce the risk of negligence claims

Understand the fundamentals of estate administration

  • Determine which assets form part of an estate
  • Navigate disclosure obligations and beneficiaries’ rights to information
  • Secure and administer estate assets, including where a certificate of appointment has not yet been obtained
  • Identify potential liabilities facing estate trustees

Implement best practices to protect yourself and your clients throughout the estate planning and administration process
