Join an experienced, multi-disciplinary faculty as they examine current issues in the Drug Treatment Court from both a legal and treatment standpoint.
As one of the therapeutic courts in Canada’s criminal justice system, Drug Treatment Courts aim to help reduce crime and substance abuse. Whether you are a Crown Attorney, defence counsel or treatment provider, this unique, OsgoodePD program will give you the insight you need to fully appreciate the potential value of this specialty court.
Over one, intensive day, you’ll hear from all parties involved in the DTC process and gain a comprehensive understanding of the intersection between justice and treatment and how this specialty court can provide positive results for all. You’ll also learn about all of the recent developments and changes as a result of the pandemic.
This practical program was specifically designed by those involved in the Drug Treatment Courts, for legal professionals and treatment providers (with or without DTC experience). You will work through sample case scenarios and walk away with valuable tips and strategies you can immediately put to use.
