Join us for this important one-day, deep-dive into wrongful convictions and the new Miscarriages of Justice Commission- Friday, October 24th, 2025.

Learn about the latest issues and developments involving wrongful convictions and gain valuable insights into the working of the new Review Commission. Included are speakers with experience on Wrongful Conviction Review Boards in the UK and the US who will share valuable insights, including strengths and weaknesses in their systems.

On December 17th, 2024, The Miscarriages of Justice Review Commission Act (David and Joyce Milgaard’s Law) received Royal Assent creating a new, independent commission replacing the ministerial review process for wrongful convictions.

While the new commission is in the process of being made operational, this unique and timely symposium will bring together a national and international group of speakers whose work is dedicated to preventing wrongful convictions, miscarriages of justice and advocacy for those who have been wrongfully convicted.

Included are speakers with experience on Wrongful Conviction Review Boards in the UK who will share valuable insights, including strengths and weaknesses in their systems
