OsgoodePD

Last week, we were pleased to welcome a group of law students from the Chinese University of Hong Kong for our 20-day Summer Study Abroad Program at Osgoode Professional Development. The students arrived on Thursday and were welcomed with a lunch on Friday, where Meghan Thomas and Victoria Watkins introduced the program and shared its background.

After the lunch, the students visited the Royal Ontario Museum and spent the afternoon exploring downtown Toronto. They enjoyed the city’s vibrant and multicultural atmosphere and noted many differences between Toronto and Hong Kong.

In the coming weeks, Professors Tanguay-Renaud and Ben-Ishai will lead the students through academic sessions. Outside the classroom, the group will have the opportunity to visit Niagara Falls and the CN Tower. They will be joined by our LLM students, who will help them navigate the cities and make the most of their experience.

Several social events are also planned, including a Networking Mixer at our 1 Dundas location. This event will bring together students, staff, and legal professionals, creating a valuable space to connect, share experiences and build relationships.

While talking to the students, they shared that they are excited about the program and are looking forward to their time in Toronto – eager to learn, explore and take full advantage of everything the city and Osgoode have to offer. We are delighted to host them and wish them a rewarding and memorable stay.
