Engage with experts and peers on the most pressing current and emerging issues in mental health law for children and youth.
Developed based on your requests for a program that would bring together legal, healthcare, mental health, education and law enforcement professionals….you’ll walk away with knowledge, tools, strategies and tactics that will help you tackle these complex legal issues in your day-to-day working life.
From a review of legal rights and responsibilities in mental health law, assessing and managing risks of violence, community collaboration challenges, the role of educators, complexities in the context of criminal law and constantly evolving caselaw, you will gain a comprehensive overview of this complex area of law that will allow you as a legal, healthcare, mental health, education or law enforcement professional, to stay on top of your obligations and responsibilities.
This annual OsgoodePD program was developed to bring together these professionals for a comprehensive one-day update of essential, current and emerging issues, together with practical legal advice on how to deal with them.
