Powers of attorney can have far-reaching implications for clients and their families.

Build the knowledge and practical judgment you need to advise clients on incapacity planning, powers of attorney and guardianship matters – from initial planning through to more complex and contentious issues.

Powers of attorney are a critical part of incapacity and estate planning, but they can also give rise to complex legal and practical issues. Lawyers may be called upon to advise on the appointment and authority of attorneys, address concerns about capacity or the exercise of an attorney’s authority, or navigate guardianship proceedings when disputes arise.

In this intensive session, experienced practitioners will examine both contentious and non-contentious matters involving powers of attorney and guardianship. Through practical discussion and analysis of common scenarios, you will explore key legal principles, professional considerations and best practices for advising clients and responding to challenging situations.

Can’t Make the Date? Registration includes 120-day unlimited, online access to most of the programs in the series.
