Remote Work Compliance: Navigating Legal Landscapes for Human Resource Professionals

Human resource professionals must grasp the distinct legal implications of remote work and take proactive measures to mitigate risks. Simultaneously, they need to embrace best practices for attracting, retaining, and supporting remote employees, ensuring organizational success.

The Canadian workforce has undergone a significant overhaul due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. There is a growing demand among employees for increased flexibility in remote work arrangements requiring employers to navigate new HR and legal landscapes. It is imperative that employers recognize and address the risks that exist at the domestic and international level and put processes in place to effectively tackle the distinctive challenges of today’s work environment.
